Biography
Donna Rudd lectures in the areas of Clinical Biochemistry, Laboratory Management and Medical Laboratory Science in the College of Public Health, Medical and Veterinary Sciences. Donna has extensive experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in diagnostic pathology and completed a PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology in 2012.
Donna's research interests include all things diagnostic pathology but particularly clinical biochemistry, non-invasive diagnostics and the translation of biomarkers into clinical practice. Current projects include development and translation of novel biomarkers for the investigation of renal function and disease, pregnancy dysfunction and the microbiome in collaboration with staff and specialists at TUH, Donna is currently a board member and the chair of the Tropical Division of the Australian Institute Medical and Clinical Scientists and the Chair of the QLD branch of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine
