Biography
Professor Ng's research focuses on managing diversity for organizational competitiveness, the future of work, and managing across generations. His work has been funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, including a CAD $136K grant to study bias when assessing foreign credentials (with G. Sears, K. Chan, and Y. Yang)(2025-2029), a CAD 173K grant to study the retention of international students (with G. Sears, D. Gulanowski, and J. Han)(2022-2026), a CAD $57K grant to study the workforce integration of international students (with D. Gulanowski and G. Sears)(2022-2023), a CAD $123K grant (with G. Sears and K. Arnold)(2015-2019) to study diversity and inclusion practices, and a CAD 158K grant to study shifting career values across generations (with S. Lyons and L. Schweitzer)(2008-2011). He is Past Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (previously Gender & Diversity in Organizations) division and Diversity and Inclusion Theme Committee of the Academy of Management, and the Gender and Diversity in Organizations division of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada. He is Editor-in-Chief of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Co-Editor of Personnel Review.
