Biography
Dr. Sujin has been a full-time lecturer in the Graduate Certificate of Career Development at the College of Arts, Society and Education, James Cook University (JCU) Australia, since 2023. She is based at the Townsville campus. After earning her master’s degree in counselling psychology, she worked as a researcher and counsellor in South Korea for five years.
Sujin holds national certification as a registered vocational counsellor and is also a certified counsellor with the Korean Counselling Psychological Association. She moved to Australia to pursue her PhD and worked as a university tutor and research assistant for 2.5 years. She completed her PhD in 2022, with a thesis titled "Career Orientations and Values of Young Adults: Integrating Protean and Traditional Perspectives."
Sujin’s academic expertise lies in counselling psychology, vocational psychology, and career development. Her current research focuses on career orientations, work and career values, and career counselling.
