Biography
Dr. Sujin has been a full-time lecturer in Guidance and Counselling, Career Development, and Education courses at the Academy since 2023, and is based on the Townsville campus. After graduating with her master’s degree in counselling psychology, she worked for five years as a researcher and counsellor in South Korea. Sujin is a registered vocational counsellor (national certificate) and a counsellor (Korean Counselling Psychological Association) in South Korea. She joined Australia for her PhD degree and worked as a university tutor and research assistant for 2.5 years in Australia. She completed her PhD thesis in 2022: “Career orientations and values of young adults: Integrating protean and traditional perspectives”. Sujin’s academic background is in counselling & vocational psychology and career development. Sujin’s current research focuses on career orientations, work/career values, and career counselling.
