Biography
Anne has extensive experience working as a physiotherapist in rural and remote Australia. She has worked in senior and in charge physiotherapy positions in WA, NSW, NT, QLD and Vic. Anne has worked in inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, school and community settings with patients ranging from neonates and paediatrics through to adults and older persons. Anne has been a lecturer at JCU since 2005. Anne was promoted to senior lecturer in 2011 and associate professor in 2021. She has been the head of the discipline of physiotherapy since 2016. She is the academic lead for the Allied Health rural generalist program.
Anne has developed the cardiorespiratory/ acute care curriculum at JCU. As well Anne is a reviewer for journals including Physiotherapy, Medical Education, Focus on Health Professional Education and Internet Journal of Allied Health Science and Practice. She is an assoicate editor for the Australian Journal of Rural Health. Anne is also a program assessor and exam writer for the Australian Physiotherapy Council. She is also involved in tthe titling and specialistaion process for the Australian Physiotherapy Association
