Jagdeep Kaur

Dr Jagdeep Kaur Sabharwal is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at James Cook University Singapore, with expertise in psychology education, curriculum development, blended learning, and student-centred learning. Prior to joining James Cook University, she worked for several years as a corporate trainer. Her interest in social interactions and the ways in which people influence one another led her to pursue a PhD in Social Psychology. She also holds a Graduate Certificate of Education from James Cook University.

Jagdeep has extensive teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programs, and has taught across a broad range of psychology subjects. Her teaching interests include innovative learning design, blended learning, and the integration of technology into psychology education.

Her research focuses on the social, relational, and cultural influences on psychological wellbeing, with an interdisciplinary approach that brings together perspectives from psychology, health, ageing, technology, education, and tourism. Her research interests include burnout, loneliness, parenting and family wellbeing, e-mental health, psychosocial gerontology, technology and wellbeing, and learning design. Her work explores factors that promote resilience, wellbeing, and positive functioning across individuals, families, and communities.
