A Brief Introduction to Indigenous Entrepreneurship and Its Relevance in Southeast Asia
Book Chapter ResearchOnline@JCU[Extract] While indigenous peoples and entrepreneurship have long existed at the beginning of times, indigenous entrepreneurship has been viewed as an emerging research discipline as there was no definitive concept prior to 2001 of the term in management and entrepreneurship literature (Dana, 2015; Hindle and Moroz, 2007). Before diving deeper in indigenous entrepreneurship as a research field (Hindle & Moroz, 2010; Padilla-Meléndezetal., 2022; Salmon et al., 2022), especially in the relatively unexplored context of Southeast Asia, we take one step back by untying the definition.
