Biography
Dr. Zinat Mohammadpour is a medical researcher with a holistic methodological and statistical approach. She is experienced in integrating and developing large health databases and designing and conducting various studies, including RCTs, online surveys, and meta-analyses. She is proficient in advanced statistical analyses required for different types of study using STATA and SPSS.
As an academic at JCU, Zinat mentors and supervises Honours medical students and is an active member of the Research and Honours Committees. She also contributes to research education and capacity building by mentoring clinicians at Cairns Hospital and contributing to the Cairns Research and Innovation Symposium.
Zinat is an active research member of the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and has experience advising on ethics applications and corresponding with relevant SSAs and RGOs.
Zinat is an early-career researcher specialising in clinical nutrition management for chronic diseases. She has collaborated with national and international institutions such as Emory University and CSIRO. Her predominant research profile has an H-index of 10 and publications in high-impact journals, including the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=VB2U4b4AAAAJ&hl=en).
