Abstract

[Extract] We read the recent meta-analysis by Rabea et al. with interest [1]. The authors compare the safety and efficacy of extended interval dosing (EID) versus standard interval dosing (SID) of natalizumab in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) [1]. While we agree that the data supports comparable clinical and radiological efficacy for SID and EID, we are concerned that the analysis does not reflect the probable relative safety of these dosing strategies.
