Biography
From the vibrant halls of Makerere University in Kampala Uganda, where a passion for veterinary medicine first ignited, to the distinguished corridors of the University of Queensland, where a postgraduate diploma, Master's, and PhD honed a profound understanding of veterinary science, a seasoned professional emerged. Not only just a veterinarian; I am an educator, a researcher, and a guiding force dedicated to the advancement of animal health and scientific inquiry.
With a commitment to excellence evidenced by membership in the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, specialising in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Critical Care, my expertise remains at the forefront of my field. My journey has been marked by a proven ability to inspire and mentor, offering professional guidance to veterinary students and veterinary colleagues across all stages of their academic and clinical development.
Now, my gaze is set on James Cook University (JCU), drawn by the unique opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and shape the future of veterinary science within the College of Science and Engineering. This isn't merely a role; it's a platform to ignite well-defined research projects addressing critical gaps, fostering industry partnerships, and driving research translation that directly benefits the community and beyond. With a wealth of experience, a deep academic foundation, and a proactive vision for collaborative research and student supervision, I remain poised to contribute significantly to JCU's strategic objectives and propel its success forward.
