    Biography

Sally West is a nursing academic at James Cook University's Central Queensland Centre for Rural and Remote Health. Her current research is evaluating the implementation of nasal high flow therapy in the remote context and translating the evidence for this therapy into a remote context. Sally is a Registered Nurse and has worked clinically for 20 years, and in rural and remote communities for the past 10 years.  Sally is in the process of completing her PhD and post-doctoral projects concurrently, using an implementation science methodology.  Sally has become increasingly passionate about advocating for the people who live rural and remotely in accessing the same standard of healthcare than what a person would in an urban context.
