John Rophael

I am Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon. I trained at the University of Melbourne and am a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS, Vascular). I have practised in Melbourne and regional Australia, and as a consultant at Oxford University Hospitals.

My clinical work covers complex open and endovascular aortic surgery, chronic limb-threatening ischaemia, carotid disease and deep venous disease. My research interests include CLTI wound-healing prediction, carotid plaque risk, vascular biological ageing, endovascular device innovation and artificial intelligence in vascular care. i aslo have a keen interest surgical training culture, safety and interprofessional education.
