Biography
Born and raised in rural Queensland, Jenna moved to Townsville to complete a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (Clinical). Jenna practiced as an accredited exercise physiologist in regional Queensland for several years before moving into teaching and clinical research. In 2013, Jenna joined the Queensland Research Center for Peripheral Vascular Disease (QRC-PVD) as a clinical trial coordinator and later became team leader in 2018. Jenna throughout that time was also a sessional lecturer and clinical educator in the final year exercise physiology degree. In 2022, Jenna became a research project manager for the evaluation of the Australian Teletrial Program, led by Professor Sarah Larkins. Jenna is also involved in supporting the College of Medicine in other teaching/assessment activities ad hoc.
Jenna is also a PhD candidate looking at exploring clinical trial capability, capacity, community priorities and perceived importance in northern Australia. Jenna is due to complete her PhD in 2031.
Jenna is the HDR representative on the College of Medicine Research and Research Education Committee. She is also a member on the Australian Clinical Trial Alliance (ACTA) Translation of Research into Practice special interest group (TRIPSIG).
