Helen Wright

Helen's goal is to enhance genomics in healthcare, specifically nursing and midwifery.

Helen is an experienced academic and teaches into the undergraduate nursing and midwifery programs at JCU. Her PhD focused on genomics in nursing practice in Australia.

Helen has a particular interest and expertise in the clinical application of genomics and aims to improve the knowledge and application of genomics by nurses and midwives.

Helen is a member of several professional genomics and nursing organisations including the International Society of Nurses in Genetics, Human Genetics Society of Australasia, Australian Society of Genetic Counsellors, and Australian College of Nursing.

Helen is research active in the field of genomics and is available to supervise Higher Degree Research students who are interested in genomics in healthcare.
