Abstract

[Extract] This study examined the potential role of increased fishery production from Inshore Fish Aggregating Devices (IFADs), in combination with sustainable financing mechanisms, (with emphasis on micro credit schemes), in a) stimulating new business opportunities (particularly for women) and b) facilitating repair and/or replacement of IFADs by communities.
