Role

Collaborator

Description

This project proposal is to generate knowledge about whole beche-de-mer supply chains through to consumption in end markets, focusing first on the PNG end and moving on to international connections later in the project. This knowledge will be developed within the conceptual framework of 'interactive governance' - focusing on the various actors involved in the supply chain and their networked influences at different scales affecting the way the fishery operates. This knowledge will form the basis for a set of recommendations to improve sustainability in PNG's sea cucumber fishery, to complement existing recommendations developed by the PNG government and community and conservation organisations.
