Liaison Librarian

Biography

Sam has been working as a qualified librarian in university libraries for over 25 years. In her role as a liaison librarian, Sam provides consultation services and delivers digital and information literacy programs that enhance student learning and contribute to the learning, teaching and research aims of the University.

She has recently completed a Master of Philosophy (Indigenous) and is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy investigating the use of game based learning to develop students' critical information literacy capabilities for undertaking Indigenous related research.

Sam has also worked as a team member providing search services and advice for staff and students undertaking systematic reviews and scoping reviews

Research areas of interest include information literacy, Indigenous research, online game based learning and gamification, evidence based medicine and systematic reviews, research support, research impact, scholarly publishing, information ethics, artificial intelligence.
