Biography
Summary
Dr Hafihz is a Lecturer in Marketing at James Cook University (Singapore Campus) and the Associate Editor of Practitioner Insights in the Journal of Tropical Futures. His research focuses on the fields of services marketing, technology adoption, and halal and hospitality. He has authored over 40 publications including scholarly articles in the European Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Islamic Marketing, and is ranked among the top 200 scholars globally in the areas of AI service robots (SciVal ranking) and Islamic marketing (ScholarGPS ranking). His most recognized works include the development of an AI Service Quality Scale AISAQUAL and a review of the new halal tourism model RIDA co-authored with a global industry expert.
Dr Hafihz holds Fellowships from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CMktr FCIM), the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Leveraging his decade of industry experience, he serves as an advisor for several organizations. In recognition of his contributions, he has received multiple awards for his teaching, research and service engagements at the university and industry levels. This underscores his impact on both academia and industry in providing inclusive academic inquiry and thought leadership in emerging global markets.
