Lecturer

Biography

Christopher A. R. Reid is a Lecturer, the First-Year Coordinator, and Academic Advisor for the Bachelor of Psychological Science at James Cook University (JCU), based at the Townsville campus in Australia.

Teaching

Christopher is the Subject Coordinator and Lecturer of several subjects within the undergraduate course; including, Memory and Cognition, and Behavioural Neuroscience.

Supervision

Christopher has supervised various students within the Honours programs for the disciplines of Psychology and Biomedical Science at JCU. Contact Christopher for a list of available projects in 2024.

Research

Christopher has conducted various preclinical studies, employing rodent neurological disease models of multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, depression, and bipolar disorder.

As a member of the Clinical Psychedelic Research Lab, Christopher is interested in the neuromechanistic attributes of the bioactive components of psychedelics in health and disease. For enquiries relating to clinical psychedelic research please click here.
