Abstract

[Extract] A recent paper in a leading tourism journal, Tourism Management (IP 10.967), reported an attempt to develop a tool (‘TRAVAX scale’) to ‘offer travel medicine researchers and practitioners a standardized psychometric scale that would enable them to assess travel vaccination concerns reliably and objectively’, … ‘to identify vaccination resistors and their underlying concerns’.[1, pp. 16,18] Clinicians will be familiar with the frustration of vaccine refusal.
