Abstract
[Extract] This report details the findings of the Get Active Thuringowa Physical Activity Postal Survey that was sent to a sample of Thuringowa residents in November and December, 2004. The overall aim of this research was to assess current physical activity levels of residents in the study area as well assessing the relationship between physical activity, the physical and social environment, self efficacy, barriers and use of the Riverway pathways. The survey provides baseline data, which will be compared with a follow up survey following completion of the Riverway project.
