Description

The feature story is based on region’s first research studies on dark tourism that I published in 2020. In the feature story, I highlighted how: -Dark tourism in Singapore contributes to our heritage and cultural narrative. By weaving together authentic stories of resilience, loss, and memory, it deepens our understanding of the nation’s past, allowing both locals and tourists to connect with the layers of history that shaped Singapore’s identity. -Though smaller in scale compared to neighbouring countries, Singapore’s short yet colourful and tumultuous past offers powerful opportunities to build cultural awareness and preserve collective memory through tourism.
