Biography
Currently associated with JCU as Adjunct Research Fellow. Dr. Shiju George has earned his prestigious Ph.D. from the esteemed School of Information Technology and Engineering at the Vellore Institute of Technology, located in the vibrant city of Vellore, India. His academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering, awarded by Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, a distinguished Central University in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. He further honed his expertise by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Software Systems from the renowned Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Pilani, Rajasthan, India, and a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University in Tamil Nadu. Dr. George presently holds the esteemed academic position at Christ University, Bengaluru and also holds the Adjunct Fellowship at James Cook University. His illustrious career spans an impressive two decades of dedicated teaching within the realm of engineering education throughout India. His academic pursuits are underpinned by a fervent passion for cutting-edge research. Dr. George’s research spans a wide range of advanced domains, including Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), Big Data, neural network architectures, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational intelligence, transportation engineering, deep learning, data analytics, and soft computing. He has served as a trainer for AI–ML courses under the Additional Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP) of the Government of Kerala, India. In addition, he has contributed as a resource person for numerous technical and non-technical sessions, covering areas such as AI, ML, DL, GenAI, LLM Models, Agentic AI, AI Ready Data, time management, stress management, personality development, professional ethics, and induction programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as faculty members. He also possesses significant expertise in the design and development of AI-focused curricula. Dr. George is an active reviewer for leading journals, including Big Data and Applied Soft Computing, and has also reviewed papers for various IEEE international conferences.
