Meegan Kilcullen

Dr Meegan Kilcullen is a Senior Lecturer in the postgraduate Master of Psychology (Clinical) program at James Cook Unviersity. Her areas of interest include critical psychology, culturally responsive practice and critical reflexivity.

Meegan has worked as a psychologist in private practice, NGOs and the public sector in North Queensland since 2007.

Meegan is a qualitative researcher who has clinical and research interests in perinatal infant mental health and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing. She is particularly interested in clinical psychology at the cultural interface. Her current projects include collaborations at the Neonatal Unit, The Townsville Hospital identifying barriers and facilitators for obtaining permissions to autopsy after stillbiith experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families, and using telehealth camera technology to enhance attachments between parents and their premature infants who are admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
