Karen Salata

I have worked in a variety of OT practice areas since 1995, in different parts of Australia, and the UK, and Canada. My experience has been in the areas of acute medical, surgical and orthopaedic hospital services; neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation settings; hand therapy; burns and plastics; and in hospital, community and school-related paediatric settings.

Prior to my current position at JCU I worked as a clinician in paediatrics for almost six years, in Australia and Canada. My interest in paediatrics led to completing a Bachelor degree in Education in addition to Occupational Therapy.
