Biography
My research focuses on heterogeneity in well-being trajectories across the life course, with an emphasis on mid-to-late life. My previous postdoctoral work at Humboldt University of Berlin examines this from a macro perspective, analysing cross-national and historical differences in these trajectories. This research builds on my work as a PhD scholar at the Centre for Research on Successful Ageing (ROSA; 2021-2025), where I used advanced longitudinal methods to uncover heterogeneity in how older individuals adapt to challenges, and how different social and affective dynamics contribute to well-being. I have published my findings in journals such as Psychology and Aging, Social Psychological and Personality Science, and The Journal of Positive Psychology. In recognition of these works, I have been the grateful recipient of several prestiges awards, including the Presidential (2024-2025) and Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellow (2023-2024) at Singapore Management University, and Student Research Award by Association for Psychological Science (2024). Prior to my PhD, I spent 3 years as a research assistant and certified clinical dementia rater at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. There, I conducted mental health and neuropsychological assessments among community-dwelling older adults.
