Biography

I am a marine microbiologist and ecologist with more than 15 years research experience applying molecular techniques to investigate the impacts of environmental stress and contaminants in microbial systems. My past research was heavily focused on host-associated systems; however, my more recent work has shifted more towards the development of molecular tools for microbial ecotoxicology. I am an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow with AIMS@JCU and a full-time Research Scientist at the Australian Institute for Marine Science.
