Abstract
The James Cook University Undergraduate Research Internship (URI) is a research-based Work-Integrated Learning program designed to equip regional university students with the capabilities required of healthcare professionals. This presentation will discuss the purpose of the program as well as its parameters and impacts, focusing on how such programs can be implemented more widely to support developing undergraduates’ graduate competencies and professional identities.
