Teaching the Internet with AR and Toy Bricks
Conference Publication ResearchOnline@JCUKerrison, Steve;Jusak, Jusak
Abstract
Understanding packets, which are one of the building blocks of the Internet, is pivotal for many network-centric disciplines, such as cybersecurity and app development. To better teach these, we propose to use actual, physical building blocks, combined with Augmented Reality (AR), to create an engaging learning experience. This approach takes decades of well-established technology, combined with innovative new approaches to learning, to make networking more accessible to a wider and more diverse cohort of learners.
