A review of programs and program directions of the Indonesia's hospitality and tourism study at the undergraduate level
Conference Publication ResearchOnline@JCUIndonesia's hospitality and tourism higher education comprises two types of undergraduate programs: an academic basedbachelor (known as S1) and a vocational-based bachelor or noted as diploma IV (DIV). This study aims to review the programs offered, the vision and mission statements, as well as the program objectives of both undergraduate programs. Secondary data from published resources (online journals and websites from 25 institutions) are used to obtain the information. A content analysis was utilized to examine the data. The results indicate that vision and mission statements and the programs objectives between bachelor and diploma IV are analogous. While hotel management, travel management, hospitality and tourism are the most common programs offered at undergraduate level.
