Crisis? Whose crisis? Transformative learning and the development of ecological literacy in social work education

This paper explores the teaching of ecological literacy to social work students using an explicitly transformative approach. Through introducing disorienting experiences, students are encouraged to reflect on their existing frames of reference and move towards a more holistic and inclusive understanding of the human-nature relationship.
