Information technology uptake
Journal Publication ResearchOnline@JCURegional businesses often lag behind city operations. A $20M pa regional Australian business was investigated to test the employees acceptance concerning plant modernization processes. Information Technology (IT) uptake - measured as "Attitude towards IT Uptake", delivered a key pathway through which this labour intensive operation could be significantly improved at the in-factory operational level. The employees "Attitude towards IT Uptake" was found to be influenced by four latent variables: (1) Time and information; (2) People; (3) Materials and; and (4) Equipment and Machinery. Each latent variable offered further areas for management, and in-factory improvement.
