Description
Obesity is a worldwide epidemic and continues to rise in low-and high-income countries. The relationship between obesity and adverse medical events during or after travel is not well understood. This research project into obesity and travel-related medical events will seek to quantify the known relationship and risks, to aid in prevention of illness and injury in obese travellers, recognise possible intervention and protective measures, and identify areas for future research.
