Biography

Experimental, analytical and numerical techniques and skills: PIV, scaling analysis, computational fluid dynamics, Large-eddy simulation, and turbulence modeling.

Renewable energy: solar thermal systems including solar air collectors, solar water heaters, solar houses, solar drying, solar and thermal energy storage with water and phase change materials, and mini hydropower system.

Thermal engineering: Natural convection and heat transfer mechanisms in various thermal energy systems, building cooling/heating and ventilation, thermal management, electrical vehicles, and heat exchange technologies.

Fluids/environmental engineering: buoyancy-driven flows; mixing and entrainment in various environments, buoyant jets in different fluids including waste water discharge into rivers/oceans, and particle transport in fluids.
