Biography
Victor is a registered clinical psychologist who has worked in Singapore’s mental health field since 2010. He brings extensive experience as a psychotherapist, having supported a wide range of clients across multiple levels of care.
His therapeutic philosophy is grounded in the belief that small, deliberate steps can create meaningful and lasting change. He works collaboratively with clients to cultivate insight, deepen psychological flexibility, and take purposeful action toward growth. Victor is committed to providing a warm, non-judgmental, and empowering therapeutic space that honours each individual’s unique experiences. Using evidence-based modalities, he focuses centrally on enabling behavioural improvements, resilience, and self-empowerment.
Beyond clinical practice, Victor has delivered corporate mental-wellness seminars for multinational organisations and has advised on employee well-being initiatives. He previously taught as an adjunct lecturer at private institutions before joining James Cook University, Singapore.
Victor has a particular interest in anxiety and mood-related conditions. His doctoral research examined human fear learning across multiple contexts using a virtual-reality paradigm, with applications for understanding specific phobias and refining clinical intervention design.
Victor currently serves as a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology and Manager of the Psychology Clinic at James Cook University, Singapore. In this role, he provides clinical training and supervision to students in the Master of Psychology (Clinical) program.
