Richard Cook

I currently provide strategic advice and operational leadership for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research at James Cook University (JCU) including line management of research administration, research infrastructure and field stations.

I previously led a high-performing strategy team responsible for strategic planning, performance reporting, program management and organisational effectiveness at University of Wollongong (UOW), I led and developed a university-wide strategic program for supporting and enhancing Research Impact at The University of Wollongong and led a team responsible for research analytics, systems and support. I have worked in research strategy roles at The University of Sydney and as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company.

I have a strong track record providing strategic leadership through transformational periods, specialising in building high-performing, motivated teams that deliver positive outcomes for the organisation.
