Biography

Professor Sealey has been working at JCU since 2001 and is the Dean for Education Design Quality and Standards, having previously led directorates as Director, Academic Program Quality for the Academy and Director Academic Quality and Strategy for the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine. Professor Sealey previously served eight years as the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching, and is a Fellow of Exercise and Sports Science Australia.

In her current position Professor Sealey is a member of the Vice Chancellors Committee, Academic Board, Curriculum Committee, and Education Committee; and leads the Curriculum Management and Accreditation, Education Design, Education Quality and Evaluation, Teaching Support Services, Policy and Standards portfolio, and Learning and Teaching Development units, leading quality assurance and support to the Academy for program design, delivery, approval and review.

Professor Sealey worked for over a decade in the JCU Sport and Exercise Science discipline and coordinated the Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (Clinical) and Graduate Diploma of Exercise Physiology (Clinical) courses. Professor Sealey has a research track record in clinical curriculum design and assessment, exercise for chronic disease management, sports performance enhancement, and scholarly learning and teaching practice.
