Biography

I am an early career researcher with an interest in developing novel species aquaculture through innovative R&D. I have worked with a variety of species, including ornamental corals, sea urchins and grouper. I recently completed my PhD in coral aquaculture as part of the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program, studying how co-culture could be used to improve ex situ coral aquaculture. Prior to this I worked as a technician at both an ornamental marine import/export facility and a large-scale prawn and cobia farm.  Since 2021 I have been involved with Pint of Science Australia, running the Townsville festival as City Coordinator since 2023.
