Biography
Md Mizanur Rahaman is a researcher in the College of Medicine and Dentistry at James Cook University, focusing on the role of gut micorbiota and plant-derived compounds in treating Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and metabolic disorders, he holds Bachelor and Masters of Pharmacy from Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU), Bangladesh, and are currently enrolled in M. Phil in Medical, Molecular and Veterinary Sciences at JCU.
His Research combines metagenomics, virome analysis and phytochemistry to explore how plant metabolites modulate the gut micorbiome in disease contexts. Mizanur has published studies on novel palnt-derived compounds restoring gut micorbiome balance in colities model, targeting IFN signalling pathways in IBD and systemetic reviews on microbiome therapeutics and so on. He also contribute to research on nanoparticals and antioxident biology, demenostring his expertise in medical science.
Mizanur actively collaborates across disciplines, bridging molecular biology, computational biology, and natural product science, advancing understanding of micorbiome-based therapeutic strategies.
