Biography
Dr. Leanne Hall is a senior research officer at the James Cook University School of Medicine and Dentistry Rural Clinical School in Mackay, Queensland. Leanne supports the research ambitions of our next generation of researchers and clinicians whilst also conducting her own studies in the area of rehabilitation and antibiotic stewardship.
Leanne has published 38 peer-reviewed research articles and was awarded the prestigious GRAMMER European Spine Journal Award for Basic Science and Applied Research in 2019. Leanne is on the advisory panel for a number of MBBS Honours students and is part of the College of Medicine and Dentistry's Research and Research Education Committee, and CMD Honours Committee. She also peer-reviews articles for a number of international journals.
Leanne has been involved in many national and international research collaborations, including conducting deep brain stimulation studies in Taiwan as part of her Ph.D. in neuroscience. Her more recent work has been in conjunction with Queensland Health and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Leanne also actively contributes to rehabilitation research at the Clinical Center for Excellence in Spinal Pain, Injury and Health at the University of Queensland.
