Biography

About me:

Katie is a Lecturer in the Occupational Therapy department at James Cook University and a current PhD candidate at ACU. Their research interests includ neurological conditions, consumer involvement in research, healthcare and university curricula.

A dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist, graduating with first-class research honors and was elected valedictorian at the Australian Catholic University in Sydney. Recipient of the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship and have been awardee of a grant from the Research Foundation of Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

In recognition of their outstanding academic performance, Katie is a member of the esteemed "The Golden Key" International Honour Society, awarded for being in the top 5% of university results nationwide. They have also received three executive dean awards for high academic achievement.

In addition to their professional qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Katie holds a degree in Performing Arts (Dance).
