Biography
As a highly experienced Registered Nurse with specialist expertise in the peri-operative
care environment, I provide the highest quality patient care possible.
Intelligent, articulate, adaptable and extremely efficient, planning and
organisation are some of my key strengths. An exceptional team leader and
problem solver, I thrive working in a multidisciplinary team and can
communicate effectively with all kinds of colleagues including senior
clinicians, medical researchers, hospital administrators, and nursing staff.
Often praised for my willingness to handle difficult patients, I love the
challenge of establishing genuine connections with people who are in physical
and emotional pain.
After
commencing core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)
methods, I began using those techniques of assessing and interacting with my
patients within the general hospital environment and observed remarkable
improvements in patient outcomes. I now work one day per week in private practice
with clients wanting to access this type of treatment outside of the healthcare
system and am passionate about finding ways to integrate new treatment methods
into traditional healthcare settings.
