Biography
Benjamin is a practicing Clinical Psychologist with a focus on adult mental health, functional health disorders, and corporate solutions. He also served as a Sessional Lecturer and Chief invigilator at JCU, Visiting Clinical Psychologist at IMH, and in various portfolios of the Singapore Psychological Society.
Benjamin's research was conducted with various parties in The University of Queensland, Yale-NUS College, National Healthcare Group Polyclinics, James Cook University, and the Institute of Mental Health.
At present, his research focuses on Euthymic Circadian Sleep Management (ECSM). ECSM is a novel sleep management programme that Benjamin developed after years of clinical experience and cross-disciplinary research on healthy sleep and insomnia. It falls under the broad realms of clinical psychology, functional disorders, and behavioural health or behavioural medicine.
Research
Research Interests
Benjamin is focused on general adult mental health as well as a focus on insomnia and psychological/behavioural sleep intervention. Corollary research interests include emotion-driven sleep-inhibiting or sleep-promoting behaviours or cognitions such as bedtime procrastination, perfectionism, anxiety and mood factors, as well as the design of sleep environments, among other related areas.
