Biography
Dr. Asha Joseph is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with over 27 years of experience across higher education and industry. She currently serves as a professor and Head of Computer Science and Engineering at New Horizon College of Engineering and associated with JCU as an Adjuct Research Fellow at James Cook University, Australia.
She earned her Ph.D in digital Forensics from Vellore Institute of Technology, preceded by a Master's in(M.Tech)in Computer Science and Engineering and Bachelors' (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering From NIT Calicut. Her research spans Quantum Driven Digital Forensics, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, AI-driven healthcare, machine learning, cloud security and bioinformatics.
Dr. Joseph has an extensive scholary record, including several International Journal publications, conference papers, Books, book chapters and multiple patents published. She has guided doctoral research scholars in area such as retinopathy detection, federated learning and AI based environmental health analytics. Her professional contributions extends to major international and national bodies. She is an active IEEE senior Member, ISTE Life Member, Cambridge Academic panel Member, National Cyber Safety Security and Standards Member. She also frequently chairs sessions, conferences and deliveres talks at conferences, FDPs and national events.
Her funded projects, though for small amounts, cover AI-based healthcare systems, IOT soultions, smart infrastructre and music recognition. Recognised with multiple awards including the Academic Excellence award(2023) and sevral best paper awards in International Conferences, Dr. Joseph continues to influence academic quality, innovation and research in emerging technologies.
