Biography
Associate Professor Anna Vnuk is a medical education specialist, with a background in General Practice.
Anna graduated with MBBS from Adelaide University and worked in rural and urban general practice, obtaining a DRANZCOG and FRACGP before starting her teaching career at Flinders University. She taught in all levels of the postgraduate medical course, basing her teaching innovation from her post graduate students in a Grad Cert Tertiary Education, Masters of Clinical Education and Doctor of Education.
She commenced with James Cook Univeristy in October 2020 as Academic Coordinator of Year 4 in Cairns and has been Acting Head of the Cairns Clinical School (2023-2024).
Her research has focussed on qualitative research and, more specifically, the student experience of learning, and has researched these areas using the following frameworks: Threshold Concepts, Activity Theory, Theory of Planned Behaviour and Self Determination Theory.
