Biography
I completed my Integrated Master's in Physics from the Central University of Tamil Nadu, India. I then joined the Geoscience Division at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), India, as a Project Associate, where my primary research focus was on the applications of isotope geochemistry. I worked on paleoclimatic reconstructions from Quaternary sediments in the Upper Ganga Catchment and the origin of Paleoarchean Banded Iron Formations (BIFs) from the Singhbhum Craton. Through this work, I gained hands-on experience in stable and radiogenic isotope systematics and mass spectrometry techniques. The research exposure I gained at PRL has motivated me to pursue a career in geoscience research, with a focus on developing novel isotopic proxies and applying them to address key questions in Earth Sciences.
My current research aims to create elemental, radiogenic, and stable isotopic records of Nd-Sr-Fe and their temporal variation in the Hamersley group BIFs to build evolution in ocean water chemistry, detrital flux from the continental part corresponding continental emergence from the ocean, and hydrothermal alteration during the 2.61 to 2.41 Ga before GOE.
