"Moving to Tassie": a brief examination of internal migration to Tasmania
Other Publication ResearchOnline@JCUAbstract
This paper is drafted in response to the population roundtable held on the 2 May 2019 and led by Dr Lisa Denny from the Institute for the Study of Social Change, University of Tasmania. From this discussion, researchers from the University of Tasmania, James Cook University and Western Sydney University developed a research project carried out in the latter half of 2019 to better understand the motivating factors in the decision to move to Tasmania. This included a survey distributed online, qualitative interviews conducted across the island and some online observation in collaboration with online community groups (especially the That's it I'm moving to Tassie Facebook group).
