[Spanish] En este artículo se presenta una transcripción de lo que argumentamos ser el manuscrito más antiguo conocido del quechua ecuatoriano o quichua. El texto es precedido por un estudio histórico sobre el autor y la circumstancia de la composición del manuscrito, y también por una breve apreciación de su importancia para el estudio de la historia de esta variedad del quechua. [English] In this article a transcription is presented of what we argue to be the earliest known manuscript of Ecuadorian Quechua or Quichua. This is preceded by a historical study of the author and the circumstances of creation of the manuscript, as well as a brief appreciation of its significance for the study of the history of this Quechua variety.
