Abstract
[Extract] The changing face of nursing over recent decades has seen a realisation by many in the profession that continuing education is necessary to ensure career advancement. While today's universities offer a range of courses for nurses from certificate to PhD level, constraints of shiftwork, along with personal and family commitments, present obstacles to accessing traditional face-to-face study programs.
