Ackland, Michael
Abstract

Ackland examines William Blake's dialectics of vision and Christina Stead's comments in the novel The Man Who Loved Children. The novel suggest the seminal influence of Blake's thinking, and point to a shared obsession with the power of metaphysics, or personal ideologies, to dictate distorted conceptions of reality.
